Terms of use

These terms are between you and Orelda Labs Pty Ltd ("we"). By using Actioned you agree to them, and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies. Where the two differ, these terms apply to the extent the law allows.
1. What Actioned does
Actioned records audio on your device and, when you ask it to, sends it to our server so that it can be transcribed and written up as minutes by our processors, as described in the privacy policy.
2. Recording other people
Laws about recording conversations differ between countries, states and territories. Many require everyone's consent. You must tell people when you record them, get any consent the law requires, and not use Actioned to record anyone unlawfully. You're responsible for the recordings you make and what you do with them.
3. AI-written content
Transcripts, minutes, speaker names, titles, follow-up emails and Ask Actioned answers are produced by automated systems, including AI. They can be incomplete or wrong: names can be misheard, speakers mixed up and actions missed. Check anything important against the recording before you rely on it or send it to others. Actioned isn't a substitute for professional, legal or medical advice, and minutes it writes aren't an official record unless you make them one.
4. Your content
Your recordings, transcripts and minutes are yours. You give us only the permission we need to process them to provide the app (for example, to send audio for transcription, make an export or host a link you share). We don't claim ownership, and we don't use your content to train AI models.
If you share a link to minutes, anyone with the link can read them until it expires or you stop sharing it. Only share what you're entitled to share.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Actioned to break the law, infringe others' rights, record people covertly where that's unlawful, or attempt to get around the free plan's limits, App Attest or our server's security. We may stop providing the service to an install that misuses it.
6. Free plan and Actioned Pro
- The free plan includes a set number of transcribed recordings each month (currently 3, plus your first recording), shown in the app. We may change the free allowance in future versions.
- Actioned Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, bought through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.
- Apple handles refunds. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
7. Availability
We work to keep Actioned reliable, but transcription and minutes depend on our server, our processors and your internet connection, and may sometimes be slow or unavailable. Recordings stay on your device while they wait. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose (Settings → Save Copies can help).
8. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded. Where we're allowed to limit our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
9. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from content written by AI, from recordings you make, or from links you share. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Actioned Pro in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Changes and ending
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use Actioned means you accept the update. You can stop using Actioned at any time by deleting it and cancelling any subscription.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia and of the state or territory where Orelda Labs Pty Ltd is registered, and you and we submit to the courts there.
